Always wonderful each year helping Bonner Community Food Bank get ready for the holidays. It would be even better food insecurity wasn't a thing!

Bonner Community Food Bank was in need of peanut butter again this year, so we used our Rotary Express Grant to bring in nearly 300 jars. Peanut butter is a nutritious, shelf-stable source of protein that food banks love and need, but oftentimes, the amount of peanut butter on the shelves runs out long before the expiration date on the labels. Peanut butter is important for those who face food insecurity to have consistent access to the nutritious foods they need.

The Rotary Club of Ponderay Centennial unveiled a hand-crafted bench in honor of Patrick R. Gavin, a charter member of the club who exemplified “Service Above Self” throughout his life, in and out of Rotary.

Congrats to our winners! Carol Curtis won the scenic flight for four on a Kodiak airplane, Carrie LaGrace won the Schweitzer Season Pass, and Brian McCrum won the Litehouse YMCA membership! Thank you winners and all raffle buyers for your wonderful support!

The club supplied hundreds of peanut butter jars and nearly a ton of fresh honeycrisp apples. The members also assisted the Food Bank in creating a production line for assembling Thanksgiving bags ready to give out to its customers.

Jacey's Race is a community event specifically to help local families with children currently being treated for cancer, life-threatening, or severe illness. Ponderay Rotary sponsors this event each and and hosts the Chili Cook-off.
